Woodcraft Folk  
   

The Woodcraft Folk Group (also known as Woodies, naturally) meet here at Melbourne. We are also part of a National Voluntary Youth Organisation, and our Group recently celebrated 21 years in the Bishophill/Fishergate area in York.

The Woodcraft Folk is a voluntary educational movement for children and young people, which aims to develop self-confidence and activity in society, aiming to build a world based on the principles of equality, friendship, peace and co-operation.

Our group meets here on Thursdays from 6-7.30/8 pm with Elfins (age 6-9) and pioneers (age 10-13) We organise camps in spring and summer, have outdoor centres and a fabulous Woodie garden at Scarcroft for outdoor times, and at the Melbourne Centre do Art and Craft work, Cooking, Games, Discussion, Plays, Fun!
