Voice of the Drum is an African hand-drumming community group open to people of all ages and abilities. We're a group of people who simply enjoy getting together to make music and do performances (usually at benefits) - it's great fun and no prior musical experience is needed.

We usually rehearse on Sunday evenings and plan rehearsal dates (£4 or £3 concessions) around forthcoming gigs. Sometimes we have an outside drum teacher in to help us and the rest of the time we manage without. We have close links with a drumming group at The Aids Support Organisation in Kampala Uganda and host an annual gig for World Aids Week in December with all profits going to them.
